June 11-August 7, 2005

Gallery Hours: Fri-Sun 12-5 or by appointment

“Over the river and through the woods” is the subtext of the show as Woodstock, Beacon, Hudson and Kingston are examples of the many thriving discreet artistic communities along the Hudson River.  In fact, each town is now listed in John Villani's "100 Best Art Towns in America: A Guide to Galleries, Museums, Festivals Lodging and Dining" which was published by Countryman Press last month.

Each town has it’s own particular flavor and artistic vision. The "B5" Show is a cultural visit by artists from Beacon, to the artists and audience of Woodstock. Ultimately such interchanges will lead to a larger, more inclusive Hudson valley art community where artists benefit from the energy of others working nearby and where ideas are exchanged freely. Audiences for art will increase and become more sophisticated. All of the participants in this show either have studios in Beacon or have shown there often.
