UNREMARKABLE

An installation of 350 self-portrait Polaroids by Ruth Adams (Lexington, KY). This exhibition presents the artist's personal experience with Hodgkin Lymphoma. In November 2003, Adams decided to make an image of herself each day for a year starting on the day of her first treatment and spanning her diagnosis, chemotherapy, radiation, and recuperation. The immediacy and intimacy of the Polaroids combined with their imposing and cluttered installation makes for an evocative and deeply effective viewing experience.

PHOTOGRAPHY NOW '06*

Juried by Natasha Lunn, Photo Editor of /The New Yorker/, This exhibition presents the newest voices in photography spanning from across the United States, from Connecticut and New York to California, Ohio, and Washington State! Out of over 250 submissions, Ms. Lunn selected nine photographers whose work crosses boundaries, charts new territory, and exemplifies what is new and now in photography in 2006!  Artists include Caitlin Atkinson (CA), B.A. Bosaiya (WA), Arantxa Cedillo (Canada), Michal Chelbin (NYC), Siri Kaur (CA), Honey Lazar (OH), Mike McGregor (NYC), Lydia Panas (PA), and Torrance York (CT).
